Effective January 1st, 2017, the Provincial Government has doubled the Land Transfer Tax rebate available to eligible first time homebuyers from $2,000 to $4,000. This means that there is no Land Transfer Tax payable on a home purchase of $368,000. Municipal Land Transfer Tax may still apply depending on where you are purchasing.
